At the heart of our services is our commitment to customers, service and quality. This means ensuring that our global operations meet high safety standards and are verified by independent certifications to prove regulatory compliance. This applies to our entire service portfolio, from international freight forwarding to domestic transportation.

Transported Asset Protection Association (a non-profit organization with participation from security professionals in a range of industries, including high-tech companies). Certification represents adherence to security specifications for prevention of loss and theft of cargo whilst in transit or storage. We acquired CLASS-A which was the highest security level certified by TAPA for group companies in Japan and overseas.
Authorized Economic Operator. AEO is a government-industry partnership program introduced to maximum security within international logistics and facilitate international trade. The program is designed for customs brokers, warehouse operators, forwarders, importers, exporters and manufacturers.
Yusen Logistics is certified as an authorized warehouse operator and as an authorized customs broker in major countries. In addition, our overseas companies acquired authorization of U.S. C-TPAT, Canada PIP, and Singapore STP, which are equivalent to AEO.
The Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) is a voluntary supply chain security program led by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and focused on improving the security of private companies' supply chains with respect to terrorism. Yusen Logistics (Americas) Inc. has been C-TPAT certified since 2002.  In addition, we partner with and maintain C-TPAT certified carriers to meet our customer’s requirements. C-TPAT requirements are an integral part of every field office audit conducted by our company. Security measures and quality assurance systems are reviewed at each location, annually, and reported back to the headquarters operation.
Partners in Protection (PIP) is a voluntary program by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) that enlists the cooperation of private industry to enhance border and trade chain security, combat organized crime and terrorism and help detect and prevent contraband smuggling. Yusen Logistics (Canada) Inc. has been PIP certified, since 2010. 
Awarded by Singapore Customs since 2011, Yusen Logistics Singapore is Secure Trade Partnership (STP) Plus certified and complies to the World Customs Organization (WCO) SAFE Framework of standards for global trade. Customers will benefit from expedited clearance in participating countries through the Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRA). The accreditation also automatically recognizes Yusen Logistics Singapore as a known consignor (KC) under the Regulated Air Cargo Agent Regime (RCAR). For more details on STP & STP-Plus
International Organization for Standardization (an international body which implements agreed standards which are made internationally and accepted in all the fields except the electric field). We acquired ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) for Group companies in Japan and overseas.
