Yusen Logistics UK Launches New Shanghai Consolidation Service

As part of its ongoing launch programme of new services, Yusen Logistics (UK) Ltd has launched a direct weekly LCL (less than container load) service from Shanghai to Southampton. This new service responds to high levels of demand in the market and follows on from the success of its LCL service from Singapore.

With a Yusen Logistics managed de-van facility, Yusen Logistics can prioritise containers to meet customers’ requirements and has direct control over the release of cargo at destination.  This allows immediate availability of stock upon receipt at Southampton and with customs clearance staff available seven days a week, the focus is on speed of service, as well as security.

The new routing provides full visibility of cargo in transit and delivery throughout the UK on Yusen Logistics’ own tracked vehicles, giving enhanced visibility and security.
